Pelle Pelle Jacket Size Guide: How to Choose Your Size

Pelle Pelle jackets are cut with a streetwear fit, and the right size depends on how you like to wear them: fitted, or roomy enough for a hoodie underneath. This guide shows the quickest way to choose, using a jacket you already own.

Step 1: Measure a jacket that fits you well

Lay your favorite jacket flat on a bed or table and close the zip or buttons. Measure straight across from one armpit seam to the other. This is the pit to pit measurement, and it is the most reliable number for comparing sizes. Double it and you have the chest circumference of the jacket.

Step 2: Add room for layers

If you plan to wear the jacket over a sweatshirt, pick a jacket whose pit to pit is about 1 to 1.5 inches (2 to 4 cm) larger than your best-fitting jacket. For a closer fit over a t-shirt, match the number rather than going up.

Step 3: Check length and sleeves

Measure from the base of the collar at the back down to the hem for body length, and from the shoulder seam to the cuff for the sleeve. Pelle Pelle plush leather styles are structured, so sleeve length matters more than it does on a soft knit.

Between two sizes?

Choose the larger size if you wear heavy layers or like a relaxed look, and the smaller size if you prefer a fitted shape. If you are still unsure, email thepureleatherjacket@gmail.com with your measurements and the style you like, and we will help you choose before you order.
